Automize

Automize is a task scheduler and automation software that can automate a variety of tasks, including ftp transfers, ftp logging, web downloads, web site monitoring, email checking and sending, telnet, ping, directory monitoring and more. You can choose the task from one of the many categories and then customize it to your needs. Automize contains several pre-configured tasks, not commonly found in other applications, this includes automated SQL database queries, support for MS Office tasks, CGI testing and more. All of them offer a simple template that you can customize. In addition, the chaining feature can run tasks in sequence or conditionally depending on exit codes. Scheduler tasks can be run by the second or minute, or on a hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Additional features include email notifications on task failure, FTP browsing, ZIP file viewer, extensive logging, remote task control and more. The program is written in Java and therfore cross-platform compatible.

Identity Finder

Identity Finder enables you to locate personally identifiable information on your computer, including social security and credit card numbers, bank account numbers, birth dates, phone numbers and more. This information can accumulate over time, and you may not even be aware that some of your old documents or emails contain personal information. Identity Finder allows you to locate the items and gives you a choice to either securely delete or encrypt them. By using proprietary search algorithms to uncover multiple variations of specific types of private information the program discovers many identity matches automatically and without requiring you to enter any information. You can also enter specific personal information that you want the program to search for and it will try to discover the data using various formats. Identity Finder searches your entire computer, including browser storage areas, cookies, messenger logs, Office documents, the Windows Registry and other locations.

XP Syspad

XP Syspad provides quick access to many Windows management features, as well as programs, system folders and more, without having to use the Control Panel or click through multiple menus to get there. It runs in the system tray, from where you can right-click to access common folders (and files inside them), the Start Menu and IE Favorites or left-click to invoke the small interface that lets you select from more than 100 categorized functions, including a small calculator and a clock display. The program does not introduce any new features, all of the functions are mostly shortcuts to standard Windows XP features, however it is much easier (and faster) to access them via XP Syspad.

Magic Utilities

Magic Utilities includes an Uninstaller, a StartUp Organizer, and a Process Killer. It allows you to uninstall programs and remove entries from the Add/Remove applet, as well as edit installer information and view program details. The Startup manager allows you to enable or disable programs that launch automatically and the Process Killer enables advanced users to terminate running processes. Very attractive interface but mostly basic features.

WinAudit

WinAudit allows you to perform a detailed audit of the hardware and software configuration of your computer. The resulting audit report contains details on installed software, license information, peripherals, memory usage, processor model, network settings, startup programs and more. It can be viewed from within the application, or optionally exported to text, nicely formatted web page, XML and spreadsheet formats, or sent by email. WinAudit also supports ODBC connections and can export audit data to an existing database. Very small, standalone program that works well.

nLite

nLite is a GUI for permanent Windows component removal by your choice. After removal there is an option to make bootable image ready for burning on cd or testing in virtual machines. With nLite you will be able to have Windows installation which on install doesn't include, or even contain on cd, unwanted components. Mainly, it's a little bit of a slipstreamer, customizer, reducer and iso creator all in one package.

ADVrunas

ADVrunas is designed to make the job of System Administrators and Advanced Users easier by replacing the standard RunAs command with an enhanced version that includes advanced options and console support. You can create encrypted shortcuts with embedded credentials, run programs (with passwords) via command line, and easily run program without administrative privileges. To help you remember which credentials you used to run a program, the user name is added to all Windows title bars.

DTaskManager

DTaskManager is, a stand-alone Task Manager that adds additional functionality to the standard Windows Task Manager. It provides different ways to terminate processes, and you can also trim RAM usage, batch set priorities, temporarily suspend processes, monitor port activity, hide windows and more. The interface is very similar to the Windows version, and can optionally be configured to replace it.

MemInfo

MemInfo is a small tool, that runs as an icon in the system tray and displays the current memory (RAM or Page File) usage in a mouseover hint. The dynamic tray icon also indicates current memory usage with a colored bar. When you double-click the tray icon, it will launch the standard Windows Task Manager. MemInfo also includes an option to defragment your memory, and it can warn you on high memory usage.

Ace Utilities

Ace Utilities is a collection of tools to optimize your system performance and to remove unneeded files and internet tracks. It allows you to find and remove invalid registry entries, delete your program and internet history (plug-in support for 75+ external programs), manage your cookies and more. You can also see what programs start automatically with windows and optionally disable selected items. Furthermore, Ace Utilities includes options to find duplicate files, fix or remove broken shortcuts and to uninstall software. Other features include secure file deletion, disk space analysis, tweaking of hidden settings, an Empty Folder finder and more.

Event Log Explorer

Event Log Explorer allows administrators to view, monitor and analyze events recorded in the Security, System, Application and other logs. The program extends the features of the standard event log viewer by offering detailed filtering capabilities, that allow you to view events by category, event ID, event type, user, as well as by date or keyword match. Event Log Explorer can also export your events as HTML or printable text report.

LocalCooling
