Zigback Blocker

The zigback blocker is a small, windows internet explorer program that turns your browser into a virtual environment; limiting the web sites that can be visited only to those provided on our homepage. The zigback blocker was designed to work with ourpre-approved list of authorized web sites only, and any web site that is not on the approved list; will be blocked from loading. What's excellent about our virtual environment is that parents don't have to find and research a bunch of web sites for their kids to visit; they feel very comfortable leaving their kids alone on the computer, knowing that their internet experience will be safe and healthy.

Any Weblock

Any Weblock enables you to block access to specific web sites. Just enter the domain name of the site to block, apply the changes, and the user will no longer be able to access the site. There is no block message displayed, the simply appears to be unavailable. The interface can be password protected, but since the program uses the Windows HOSTS file to redirect blocked sites, it can be easily bypassed by a tech savvy user.

Cyclope Internet Filtering Proxy

Cyclope Internet Filtering Proxy enables you to monitor and filter Internet traffic of your network computers. The program runs as a proxy server on a single machine and you can simply configure any network browser to connect via the proxy - no need to install any additional software. The web based administration interface allows you to manage the proxy server. You can create filters to block or allow web content based on keywords or address, by file extension and object type. The filtering can be applied to all or only selected IP addresses on the network, and also be scheduled to only be active during certain times of the day (e.g during work hours). Other features include email reporting, statistical reports, detailed logging, group management and more.

Anti-Porn

Anti-Porn is an automatic content filter software to protect your kids from pornographic web sites. In addition, the program can also filter chat conversations when offensive language is used and limit internet access based on specified usage times. Anti-Porn includes a database with thousands of web sites and you can easily add your own or exclude specified sites from filtering. The database can be updated online, so you always have the latest version. In addition to the blocking of sites, the program can also log all sites that are accessed and even take screenshots of the desktop at regular intervals. Additional features include options to limit usage of games and support for content in multiple languages. Anti-Porn also includes a time synchronization feature, however we found it to be buggy, and the system time was set incorrectly for our time zone (EST).

LiveMark Family

LiveMark Family enables you to block access to web sites that are inappropriate for children. You can choose from two filtering levels (under 12 or over 12 years old) and also select the topics that should be filtered (pornography, violence etc.). There filtering is done fully automatically based on criteria set by the software, however you have the option to override certain sites and specifically allow or block them based on your personal preference. LiveMark Family also includes an option to limit Internet access to certain times of the day. All filter and time restrictions can be applied on a per-user basis. LiveMark Family works with Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Child Control

KDT Site Blocker

KDT Site Blocker is an easy to use tool to block access to certain websites. It works with any browser (IE, Firefox, Opera etc.) and will automatically display a generic `blocked` page whenever a blocked site is accessed. To block a site, all you need to do is add the domain name to the list. The admin interface is password protected.

ComputerTime

ComputerTime enables parents to set limits on the amount of time and the time-of-day when their children can use the computer. Whenever the computer is used, the user must log on with a password, and the limitations that are set for his/her account become active. You can set different limitations for each user, and also generate a list of codes (tokens) that can be given to a user to temporarily extend usage time. The user has also the option to pause time tracking by logging off or switching to Away mode. ComputerTime offers flexible limitation options, based on regular schedules, as well as daily limitations and weekend exceptions. The software provides no control over what your children are doing on the computer, the assigned computer time can be used any way they want, and does not limit or prevent Internet access.

KidShieldUSA Guardian Software

This program keeps track and checks the content of every web-page the child browses through in the Internet Explorer. My Kids Browser is a web browser interface, designed to be used by children. It comes preloaded with fun and educational sites for kids, and allows parents to add a custom list of web sites that they want to allow access to. The browser can run in a full-screen mode, thereby blocking access to the desktop, and you can also choose to make it the default browser and prevent usage of other browsers installed on your computer. Other features include optional time limits, disabling of the print feature, password protected parental control options, and analyzing of web page content. Even though the initial set of sites that comes with My Kids Browser is primarily geared towards younger children, you can easily change the sites to whatever content you find suitable.

Teen Minder

If you are worried about somone contacting your children when they are online, then you need to check out Teen Minder. Teen Minder catches everything they type, so it gets chat sessions, emails, documents, etc, the screen capture function allows you to completely playback their computer time. Schedules can be set so that the program will email you at certain intervals, which means you don't have to touch their computer to see what happened.

Parental Filter

Parental Filter is a specialized parental control filter that enables you to block porn from your web browser. It uses a built-in database of web sites that are blocked, as well as a list of keywords that it scans for on web pages, and blocks them if a they are found. You can specify a list of sites that the user will be redirected to instead, and also customize the list of blocked sites and keywords. Parental Filter provides a password protected interface, can run fully automatic in the background. The program is very effective and works well.

KidRocket

KidRocket is a web browser for kids, that limits Internet access to about a dozen child-safe websites (Sesamestreet, Crayola, Nick and others).
