Poppy

Poppy is a small email notification utility that can check multiple POP3 accounts for new mail. It displays an icon in the taskbar notification area and notifies you whenever new mail is waiting. Poppy can also optionally display a small popup window or play a WAV file. The program lets you preview the headers, preview selected messages or delete them. Additional features include Scroll Lock notification, execution of custom program and an option to only notify you when you receive email from someone on your Friends list. Poppy was designed to be small and fast.

CheckMail

MailBell is a utility that lives in your system tray and periodically checks email on POP3, IMAP4, MAPI and several popular webmail accounts. It can check multiple accounts and works on LANs and permanent internet connections as well as with dial-up networking (where it automatically detects when you go online). When new mail arrives the program can automatically start your mail reader, play a sound and/or display an unobstrusive notification window from which yon can start your mail reader if you like. MailBell can be configured to handle different types of email in different ways, eg. to suppress the sound for spam mail. It also displays the number of available messages in the system tray icon and comes with nice sound files.

YahooPOPs

Mach5 PopMonger

PopMonger is a small, standalone tool to assist you with mailing list management. It runs in the background and checks your POP mailbox for delivery failures and requests to unsubscribe for your mailing list. When it finds a matching message, it appends the email address to a separate list and then optionally the message from your box. You can customize the trigger terms to match your criteria (e.g remove, unsubscribe, etc.). Smart Email Verifier

Smart Email Verifier lets you check a list of email addresses to determine which email addresses are valid and which are not. You've Got Gmail for Trillian

You've Got Gmail is a Gmail notifier plugin for Trillian Pro (version >= 2.0). You can manage your Gmail accounts, see the list of the accounts (with new emails number) in the My Mail Accounts section of Trillian and get notified when a new e-mails arrive via systray popup windows. Also you have e-mail preview and account storage information (activated when you click on a systray popup window, or double click on an account in My Mail Accounts section. This plugin was tested on Windows XP Professional (SP2). It should work ok on any Windows >= Windows 2000. If you use this plugin on an Windows 9x sistem you won't have multi-user options.

New Mail Plus

New Mail Plus is a brilliant way to get desktop notifications of new email.
