Katchall Archive is a backup tool that will automatically backup all files that you are working on, or that are modified by other processes, and store them in compressed archives so you can recover them if needed. The program does not create full backup sets of your files, but monitors your system and creates backups of files that are changed. You can modify the behavior by adding or excluding file types or paths you specify and either extend or limit the number of files that are monitored. To restore a version of a file, you can right click on it within the Katchall archive folder and select revisions from the Windows Properties dialog. We found the program a little difficult to use and lacking sufficient documentation.

Easy2Sync - Freeware Edition

Easy2Sync allows you to synchronize two folders on the same computer, or across a network (for example to your Notebook). The synchronization can be started manually or by using the built-in scheduler. You can also initiate a quick synchronization from the tray icon and have it automatically synchronize every time you log off. Features include the option to delete abundant files and directories, creating of directories and more. The freeware version is limited to one folder. Very pretty butterfly interface, but limited functionality.
