SaferSpace is a simple but effective program that allows parents to block access to the MySpace.com website. It runs as a service and can optionally log all blocked access attempts to a file. The user will be notified with a dialog box whenever a MySpace window is blocked. You can choose to block MySpace for all users of your computer or just for selected users accounts.

Free Internet TV does not require a TV Tuner card, since these programs are broadcasted over the Internet.

TouchPicture

TouchPicture is intended for Internet Explorer users, who surf the web with images turned off. It attempts to make the process of showing selected images easier by providing a combination of keyboard hotkeys and mouse-click that allow you to click on an image to turn it on, rather than using the available IE right-click command (which requires 2 clicks). TouchPicture does indeed offer some level of convenience to certain users, but we didn`t really find it to be that much of a time-saver.

Webm8

Webm8 allows you to securely store website logins and create semi-automatic login scenarios that enable you to simply click a button and have your username, password and any other information filled in automatically. It offers a simple, unsophisticated interface that lets you add your accounts and the form data that you want to associate with it, and optionally insert keyboard commands like TAB, ENTER etc. to create semi-automated logins. Unlike some other products, Webm8 is not fully automated, which means it will take some additional clicks (usually 4) to login, but it is browser independent and will work with any browser. If you need a form filler and website password manager that works with multiple browsers, give it a try. Otherwise, you will probably find browser specific solutions to be more convenient to use.

Index.dat Suite

Index.dat Suite allows you to find, inspect and delete all index.dat files on your computer. The index.dat files are used by Internet Explorer to store references to previously visited web sites and cookies. They are not deleted by simply emptying the browser cache, but require manual deletion and a reboot. FireTune is a tweaking tool, designed to optimize the performance of Mozilla Firefox. The tweaks are based on a collection of optimization settings, which can be time consuming and difficult for the novice user. FireTune allows you to automatically apply these tweaks based on your computer and Internet speed. It offers a backup and Undo option to restore your original settings as well. We noticed some speed improvements when loading pages after applying the tweaks. We were using a fast (3ghz) PC and DSL connection, the improvements were minor but noticeable.
